We use these calulators in our business class environment for the last several years. We teach over 50 students per year and only use this calculator because it meets our needs and more plus has a great price. THey are reliable and come with a cover. With the solar panel, batteries are a thing of the past. We use scientific notation as well as simple multiplication, division, adding and subtracting. Keys are large and easy to use. We would be lost if we had to change our training material to a new calulator type. Please do not discontinue this calulator. If they did I would buy a 5 year supply.

I have an older fx-260 that I use at work. The clear button became almost inoperative, so since I like the calculator, I purchased another one. My old one is about 12-15 years old. The new one is actually slightly larger, and the button material is a harder plastic. (Old buttons almost felt like rubber). So far, everything works like it is supposed to. Ask me again in about 12 years.

This is an easy to use scientific calculator that has all the common functions for algebraic manipulations (e.g., log, ln, x^y, sq.root). Solar feature is nice -- no batteries to worry about replacing. I have two - one for home and one for work. The first one I bought is two years old now and I've never had a problem with it. Can take a while to understand how to use all the advanced features, but the direction booklet is clear (print is a little small, but otherwise fine.) I would buy this again if I needed a calculator, and you can't beat the price.

I had one of these for many years before it died. The new version feels much flimsier than my older model. Even after many years of use the old keys feel more solid. However, for the price, it seems to work fine, although I doubt if it will last as long.

Nice calculator. I git it because I was taking some classes, and this is the same one that they use in clase and I needed to know how to use it before any test.
But compare to my other scientific huge calculator, I could do almost all the same stuff with this one, which is smaller and lighter, and no batteris to worry about.

My 14 year old daughter needed a calculator to do her Honors Algebra homework with. This casio scientific calculator fx-260 solar is a great deal for the price. It is compact and has all the keys she needs without being too complex. This is the same calculator I had over 18 years ago when I was her age.
