Excellent calculator! I have owned over a dozen HP calculators starting with the HP 35s Scientific Calculator. The 35s and the 45 were/are the best of the lot.

A Great Programmable Calculator. This is HP's record of great calculators. It comes with a case and batteries, a CD with the manual and quick start guide. It uses RPN, is straight forward to use and program. It is a successor to the first HP 35s calculator and has that great styling that other HP calcs have lost. I'm very pleased with the purchase.

The HP35s is the best scientific calculator I have ever owned. I have purchased three (3) since my first one back in 1984. The only improvement I would like to see is the function keys layout. The function keys layout is presently vertical, but was horizontal on the old models. I would like the function keys layout to go back to horizontal (like the financial calculators function keys layout is now)

I don't think I've ever loved/lost and mourned another product/thing other than my inoperable 41 CX. Tho the HP 35s scientific calculator is a good calculator, it's not as intuitive or easy to master as the 41. Forget everything you previously knew about programming the 41 and be prepared for a rather steep, non-intuitive, learning curve. Sure, the new capabilities are cool, but learning the various programming sequences requires a serious commitment.

Excellent calculator, the programming process and the change of algebraic to RPN can be a bit confusing at first, but as soon you get familiarized it’s excellent, the equation part works super!!

I have used HP RPN calculators for 40 years and love them. I have published code for them in 170 countries for specific engineering applications. I have been waiting for 4 decades for a small version of a RPN calculator that will fit in my shirt pocket... yea, less programming function, etc... no problem... just need a smallish version to have with me all the time... never saw it... still hoping.
