This is a GREAT graphing calculator! After having had it about a week, I am thoroughly pleased with HP's new calculator. I have had HPs for years (48,49 50g) and, as many other experienced HP users have observed, the user interface is definitely different. However, with some patience and exploring forums (and working through the user guides) I love the new HP-Prime! I believe that an experienced user can, with a little patience, learn to adjust to the new way of doing things. But it does all the HP50g things for me and so much more.
The calc is blazing fast on graphing. The CAS system is indeed different, and, because it is new, there are some minor kinks to work out. But I can easily use this calc to do everything I could do with my 50g. The user interface on graphs of functions is brilliantly done for quick analysis of functions and their graphs.
I highly recommend this calculator!

I have the HP-50G and like this MUCH better. No, I'm not a HP-Purist but I can recognize quality & utility when I see it. Don't drink the Kool-Aid and buy a T.I. like all your friends do. Dare to be different because this is the best calculator out there. Ignore your nervous Public School Teacher. BTW, if you google around to sites that offer after-market user programs there are 3-D Graphing progs out there for the Prime.

Purchased through Big John's Mall and I received the newest edition with the darker blue markings on the keys. Like the listing says, it is the Latin version but as soon as you turn it on you select English and your good to go. Updated the software right away and so far I like this HP Prime calculator a lot. I definitely like the touch screen over the pointer on my nspire cx cas. I prefer the key layout as well.

Fantastic hand-held computer. I love HP calculators, this is my 6th. Previously owned a 50g and this is a major improvement. Looks futuristic, the color screen is great. The keys have a perfect click, possibly better than my trusty 42S. You can still do RPN, although my 42S does it better :-(. Like the built-in programming language, it is better than the RPL on 50g that I could not really get going. I have one Texas Instruments, and sorry TI fans, HP is always a couple of steps ahead. This is just a fabulous beautiful machine and I am proud to show it to my friends. Unfortunately they are less nerdy and totally not impressed. So sad. If you love doing calculations this is the one to get. Long stack, you can see all the stuff typed in and what it comes to. Just get it.
