I recently ran across some things I thought it would be useful for and needed a little coaching to get up ... I'm a physicist and do a few calculations most people don't. I bought a TI-89 Titanium several years ago and never took the time to master it so left it in my desk. I recently ran across some things I thought it would be useful for and needed a little coaching to get up to speed. I bought TI=89 Graphing Calculator for Dummies and have been more than satisfied with its explanations.

This is a good tool for performing calculation in Mathematics, Engineering and other Science Courses.
My only concern is all software needed to make this calculator to function or communicate with the computer should be Included in the package.

It's a dense book but more useful than the one that came with the calculator. Helped me improve my skills when doing higher level problems and showed me some quick steps to help with testing. But don't forget it's a reference book so there's bot going to be any easy way to master the calculator other than reading it from cover to cover A LOT.

Great for Calculus. I bought this book for my daughter to help her learn the TI-89 as part of her high school calculus class. It was really helpful and gave very clear instructions. She still had to learn to do the math, but the calculator functions were much easier!
